Biography
A Plus Personal Training is a convenient way to help each client achieve their highest level of well being.
My name is April and I am the founder of A Plus. I’ve been working in Emergency Medical Services for seven years and
have always dreamed of creating my own business geared toward helping people who are intimidated by the gym. I enjoy
many forms of working out and incorporate cross training into my own training.
I am nationally registered as an Emergency Medical Technician/ Paramedic and have numerous certifications completed
in that field. Because of my training, I have a thorough understanding of human anatomy as well as the challenges
many people face in maintaining good health.
I am certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Personal Trainer and as a Lifestyle and Weight Management
Consultant.
I completed the Fitness and Nutrition Professional course through Penn Foster College and received a career diploma.
I believe in leading an active lifestyle and encourage my clients to do the same. Volunteering at the S.P.C.A.
(Society for the Prevention of Cruely to Animals), dog training, horseback riding/training, and volunteering as a member
of the Lehigh Valley County Animal Response Team (CART) are all hobbies I enjoy. I train in hybrid martial arts at
Leading Edge Martial Arts in Allentown, where I currently hold a brown belt.
My two ‘kids’ are Maggie (a black lab) and Dana (a lab/pit mix). Both were rescued from another one of my volunteer
organizations, the Burlington County Animal Alliance.
I have a flexible schedule and I’m looking forward to helping my clients take that first step toward physical well being!
